My Story

Michael Dabis is a visionary HealthCare leader with 20+ years of global experience driving innovation and transformation across the medical device and telehealth sectors. He brings extensive expertise in strategic investment planning, program and portfolio management, regulatory compliance, and operational transformation. Michael has a proven track record of building high-performance organizations, launching innovative products, and delivering multimillion-dollar value through cost optimization, process improvements, and rigorous governance.

​​​​embecta: As Head of Strategy and PMO, Michael was instrumental in launching the company’s first post-spin-off product and securing the 510(k) clearance of a Class II insulin pump in record time. His ability to align strategic business goals with rigorous program execution enabled embecta to migrate over 200 projects into a new portfolio management framework and reduced open project change initiatives by 70%.

​​Philips and Connect America Lifeline: Previously, he held leadership roles in global Service, Marketing, R&D, and PMO functions. He oversaw the restructuring of engineering teams and executed transformative programs to improve compliance, product quality, and market speed. He’s an expert in new product development, medical device regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, TGA, EUMDR), portfolio governance, and divesting businesses. Notably, he successfully delivered FDA-cleared products under consent decree and significantly reduced late project tasks by over 60%.

Michael holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany. He is fluent in English and German, with additional training in Agile, LEAN, and executive leadership.
